Former 2001 Heisman Trophy winner Eric Crouch is still not done with his pro football career.  He will be one of 70 players that will participate in a mini camp run by the Omaha Nighthawks of the United Football League.

Crouch previously played in the Canadian Football League with the Toronto Argonauts back in 2006 when he started three games.  He was drafted in 2002 by the St. Louis Rams,  but decided to retire after they expressed their desire for him to play receiver rather then quarterback.

Since leaving football Crouch has been running a couple of different businesses in his hometown of Omaha.

“I don’t think I’ll ever get football 100 percent out of my system,” Crouch said Wednesday. “I don’t think that will ever happen. Maybe it will. I know I’m going to be a little bit rusty and I’ll be a little bit behind. I feel I can go in and help the team win.”
